WHAT DO WE DO WITH CUSTOMERS INFORMATION?
When a customer buys something from babygoods.co, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information the customer provides us, such as name, address and email address.
Also when a customer browses our store, we will automatically receive the customer’s computer internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about the customer’s browser and operating system.
What we will do with the customer’s information as well, is that we will use it for email marketing such as sending emails about our store, new products, and other stuff related to our store, but we will only send if we get the permission from the customer.
How do we get the customers consent?
When the customer provides us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify his/her credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that the customer consent for us to collect his/her personal information and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask the customer for personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask he/she directly for expressed consent or provide the customer with an opportunity to say no.
How does the customer withdraw his/her consent?
If after the customer opt-in (willingly given us his/her email address, with the knowledge that he/she would be added to our list and receive mass emails from us), change his/her mind, the customer may withdraw his/her consent for us to contact he/she, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of the customer’s information, at any time, by contacting us on our email at email@example.com.
We may disclose the customer’s personal information if we are required by law to do so or if the customer violates our Terms Of Service.
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose the customer’s information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them the customers purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that our customers read their privacy policies so the customers can understand the manner in which his/her personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either the customer or us. So if the customer elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then his/her information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if the customer is located in Sweden and his/her transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then his/her personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
